Role Details
Your Role as a Dental Laboratory Administrator: This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly organised individual who is passionate about Dental care and skilled with task management. If you’re also currently a Dental Assistant looking for a change, this could be the perfect role for you! Your key responsibilities will include:
Key Responsibilities:
- Laboratory Administration: Managing workflow, coordinating lab work allocations and ensuring all patient records are accurate and up to date.
- Scheduling & Patient Coordination: Answering calls, scheduling patients, updating patient files and liaising with Dental Providers.
- Infection Control & Maintenance: Ensuring instruments and equipment are maintained to infection control standards.
- Stock & Supplies: Monitoring and maintaining supply levels for the Dental Laboratory.
- Lab Support Tasks: Pouring up models, making teeth whitening trays and ensuring the lab and treatment areas remain clean and organised.
Work hours: Monday-Thursday 8:30-5:00pm and Friday: 8:30-4:15pm.
Who We’re Looking For
Skills and experience:
- Has 1-3 years of experience in Dental Assisting, Laboratory work or a related role.
- Possesses strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to multitask.
- Is tech-savvy, with competent computer skills for scheduling and record-keeping.
- Works well both independently and collaboratively with Dentists and Lab Technicians.
- Has a friendly and positive attitude, with a commitment to excellent patient care.
- Is highly reliable, motivated and adaptable to changing situations.
- Demonstrates a high standard of work and attention to detail.

Established patient base with high flow of new patients.
We have serviced our patient base for 75 years and have an outstanding reputation for advanced aesthetic procedures. This generates a high flow of existing and new patients for extensive general and cosmetic dental procedures. Based upon high-quality routine dental care through 6-monthly recall appointments.
Advanced technology and laboratory technical services.
We use both digital and traditional workflows to ensure the best patient and staff experiences. Additionally, our in-house dental laboratory provides you with access to a higher level of dental technical services.
Great staff benefits and a work-life balance.
The majority of our Brisbane Smiles Team work a 38-hour, 4 day week with rewarding remuneration packages. The practice hours are weekdays excluding public holidays with no late nights. We have an in-house Dental Laboratory, with personal Dental Technicians who work with each Dentist.

Dr Ellen brings a wealth of experience and a patient-centred philosophy to our Toowong clinic. Holding a Bachelor of Health Sciences in Dentistry and a Master of Dentistry, she is highly dedicated to comprehensive care, with a strong clinical focus on Aesthetic and Restorative Dentistry, Paediatric Dentistry, and Dental Sleep Medicine.
Known for her calm, gentle, and compassionate approach, Dr Ellen is passionate about creating a judgement-free environment. If you or your family have been searching for a female provider, she is exceptionally skilled at supporting anxious patients and ensuring every visit is comfortable. Additionally, Dr Ellen is fluent in Chinese, allowing her to provide clear and reassuring communication for our Chinese-speaking patients.
