As we celebrate 77 years of trusted care, we are proud to remain a family-owned practice built on genuine connections, compassion and expertise. We are grateful for the smiles and bonds that continue to shape who we are, and we look forward to creating many more together.
Kids Days
Our 2025 Kids Days were full of excitement, laughter, and, of course, lots of beautiful smiles! There is something so special about seeing children enjoying their dental visits while learning the importance of healthy habits for life. From fun activities and games to stickers and prizes, each day was designed to make oral health engaging and stress-free for our little patients.
Our next Kids Days are coming up on January 15th and April 9th 2026. Spots fill up fast, so be sure to book in early!

Spreading Smiles in Nepal
Dr Karuna Khatri visited Nepal this year to help those in need of Dental care, continuing a remarkable tradition she has maintained over the past 15 years. Together with a local Nepali Dentist, she treated 120 patients, providing essential dental care and completing an average of 2–3 fillings per patient.
We are so proud of Dr Karuna for her compassion, dedication, and ongoing commitment to making a difference, both here at home and around the world!
Kindy Talks
This year, we had so much fun visiting our local kindergartens as part of our Kindy Talks initiative, sharing interactive lessons on looking after little teeth.
By encouraging healthy dental habits from an early age, we help set children up for a lifetime of confident, happy smiles. We are excited to continue growing these partnerships and developing new connections in 2026!
Participating in the Rebuilding Smiles Program
At Brisbane Smiles, we are proud to support the Rebuilding Smiles Program, an initiative by the ADA Dental Health Foundation that provides essential dental care for individuals whose lives have been impacted by domestic and family violence.
On his experience with volunteering, Dr McKay reflects:
“It is a pleasure, along with the other wonderful providers at Brisbane Smiles, to give back to the Rebuilding Smiles Patient Network. We have been able to help those who need it most with General Dental care that they are otherwise unable to access. Rebuilding a smile can mean giving someone a second chance with their teeth, and that’s an impact I’m incredibly proud to help create. I hope we can continue giving back for many years to come.”
Professional Growth
Our team has invested in their professional development through a series of training sessions with the Practice Growth Institute, as well as other professional growth courses. These trainings focused on enhancing clinical and technical skills, improving patient experiences, and maximising practice efficiency. By committing to ongoing learning and development, our team continues to raise the standard of care we provide, ensuring every patient receives exceptional dental care.
Before and After Case Highlights
One of the most rewarding parts of our work is seeing the amazing smile transformations that our patients experience. In 2025, we have had the pleasure of helping hundreds of patients achieve a more functional, healthier, and happier smile.
Team Fun
We love celebrating our team’s hard work and achievements with energy and enthusiasm! This year, we enjoyed a fantastic lineup of team events that brought us closer together. From a fun team picnic to taking in the views on a scenic Mt Coot-tha walk, and enjoying a Pilates session led by our very own Dr Karuna, each experience helped us connect and celebrate our achievements.
We wrapped up the year with a festive Christmas party and Secret Santa workplace lunch, reflecting on all we’ve accomplished together. Here’s to more fun and success as a team in 2026!
