During this time of year it’s easy to get caught up in the spirit of Christmas and the joy’s of having family. But not everyone is as fortunate as us and this time of year can be hard for many, especially children.
Last month we donated to St. Mina Children’s Home in Fiji. This children’s home has a special meaning to us at Brisbane Smiles, as our own Dr Nancy started and set up the onsite Dental facilities within this home and has volunteered many hours performing dental treatments on these wonderful children.
St Mina Children Home’s mission is to cooperate and collaborate with local authorities and members of the community to offer a new start to disadvantaged children and a desire to make a difference to their lives. They aim to provide them with proper education, spiritual growth, housing, nutrition and opportunities for them to grow.
