Gum Disease

Dental Hygiene appointments give patients reassurance that their gums and teeth are healthy and clean.

Hygiene appointments with our Dental Hygienists will focus on the following areas:

During your hygiene visit, a Dentist will perform a full examination and review any concerns or required treatments.

Our Dental Hygienist will then thoroughly clean your teeth, removing dental plaque and tartar. The Dental Hygienist will also talk to you about your current oral hygiene regimens, and suggest appropriate products and/or techniques that may be able to assist you with looking after your teeth and gums at home.

Tooth Decay

At Brisbane Smiles we place a large emphasis on disease prevention. Our Decay Management program is designed to help individuals reduce their current decay rate, preventing future holes from forming. We do this by investigating all of the possible contributing factors associated with dental decay.  New Decay Prevention Mouthwashes can now actively reduce the bad bacteria in your mouth, effectively helping to prevent Dental Decay.

By identifying which factors are contributing to your decay experience the appropriate recommendation and modification can be made.
