An OPG is useful for:

  • mpacted wisdom teeth
  • Developing teeth and jaws
  • Check for jaw abnormalities
  • Check for teeth pathology
  • Assess bone levels around teeth
 

An OPG (Orthopantogram) is a 2D image that spans around the jaw, closely following a panoramic pathway.

 

CBCT

A CBCT (Conebeam Cross-Sectional Tomography) is a 3D radiography exam which is created by a low dose cone pattern and can create 3D imaging of the jaws.

A CBCT is useful for:

  • Assessing Bone prior to Dental Implants
  • Assessing teeth prior to extractions, particularly impacted wisdom teeth
  • Checking Teeth
  • Checking abnormalities of the Jaws
