Communications is responsible for managing and streaming all incoming communications into the practice. In the modern world, our communications team fields incoming communications from New and Existing Patients through the phones, emails, socials and patient practice management software.

In Communications, you’re responsible for ensuring every patient is responded to in a timely manner and receives a consistent and excellent standard of communication. To support you, Brisbane Smiles has a large team, practice management training program and dental laboratory services onsite. We’re conveniently located in Toowong, 4km from the CBD, right next door to Toowong Village.
Role Details
Communication’s role is to assist in the taking of all incoming communications with a focus on providing assistance and scheduling. This position that reports directly to the Practice Manager and Office Leader. The role requires consistency to meet the needs of our patients and the practice and it is important the you are willing and able to follow phone scripts for excellence and consistency.
Communications performs a variety of daily tasks. You will be responsible for taking callings, assessing and responding to emails and socials, working with marketing, following leads, coordinating New Patient appointments, confirmation of appointments.
Your daily tasks will include:
- Take New Patient phone calls and schedule appointments
- Take Existing Patient phone calls and schedule routine check-ups or handoff to Patient Consultants
- Assess and respond to emails and socials
- Work with Marketing to manage leads lists
- Complete lists and logs
- Recall phone calls and letters

This generates a high flow of existing and new patients for extensive general and cosmetic dental procedures. Based upon high-quality routine dental care through 6-monthly recall appointments.

We use both digital and traditional workflows to ensure the best patient and staff experiences. Additionally, our in-house dental laboratory provides you with access to a higher level of dental technical services.

The majority of our Brisbane Smiles Team work a 38-hour, 4 day week with rewarding remuneration packages. The practice hours are weekdays excluding public holidays with no late nights. We have an in-house Dental Laboratory, with personal Dental Technicians who work with each Dentist.
