Paula brings a wealth of experience to the practice, having worked in both private and public dental clinics since 2017. Her career spans diverse roles, from clinical work in school dental vans and adult dental clinics to leading innovative oral health promotion initiatives for Metro North (Queensland Health).
As the Lead Project Officer for the Better Together Deadly Smiles initiative, Paula played a pivotal role in improving oral health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander urban children and their families. She also created Metro North Oral Health’s first family-focused community oral health event, strengthening relationships with Indigenous communities. Paula’s work has been recognized with prestigious accolades, including the QSuper Excellence Award in the People Focus category in 2021.
Paula’s passion for preventive dentistry underpins her approach to patient care. She believes that every mouth is unique and requires personalized care that adapts to each individual’s age and lifestyle. With a special interest in pediatric dentistry, Paula excels at helping children feel comfortable and confident in the dental chair, particularly those who may be apprehensive about visiting the dentist.
About Paula
Outside of work, Paula is a devoted mother to her two young children, a 3-year-old and a 1-year-old, and her playful black Labrador, Murphy. She loves spending quality time with her family, traveling to explore new places, and experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen.
Paula finds great fulfillment in working at Brisbane Smiles, where she collaborates with a well-oiled team to deliver exceptional care. For her, every day is an opportunity to provide patients with the highest standard of dental care while being part of a supportive and dynamic environment.
